Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a MEICA Estimator to join an engineering project based in Stratford. The role focuses on developing MEICA estimates and tenders for MEICA-related projects, driving scope and design through the estimating process to contract award.

You will support the Contracts Manager during the enabling phase, leveraging MEICA knowledge and construction experience to ensure successful delivery and commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating in the Water and wastewater industry.
• MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation) installation/commissioning knowledge.
• Technical construction knowledge.
• Experience with multiple forms of contracts and frameworks in Water/wastewater industry.
• Operated in MEICA estimating disciplines as Mechanical or Electrical Estimator / Proposals Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Develop MEICA estimates and tenders for MEICA-related projects.
• Drive project scope and design through estimating and tendering to contract award.
• Provide advice and support to the Contracts Manager through the enabling phase.
• Contribute to successful project delivery and commercial outcomes.

Job description

Carmichael are seeking a MEICA Estimator to join an Engineering project based in Stratford.

As a MEICA Estimator, you will be responsible for developing MEICA estimates and tenders for our MEICA-related projects.

The role will include the successful development of the project scope and design as it drives through the estimating and tendering process through to contract award.

Your involvement in the projects will then continue as you provide advice and support to the Contracts Manager through the enabling phase of the project.

A level, or equivalent plus either a foundation degree, HND or HNC.

Experience in estimating in the Water and wastewater industry. MEICA (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation) installation/commissioning knowledge as well as technical construction knowledge.

Experience in estimating software such as Candy Experience with multiple forms of contracts as well as the operation of frameworks within the Water and wastewater industry.

To have previously operated in a similar position around the estimating disciplines of MEICA, as a Mechanical or Electrical Estimator / Proposals Engineer.

SMSTS/SSSTS qualification (Desirable).

CSCS card qualification (Desirable).

First Aid qualification (Desirable).
