Job summary

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent Level 4) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within water/utilities).
• Good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the planning and execution of commissioning activities on site.
• Collaborating with design, delivery and operational teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Assisting in site inspections, testing, and performance verification of new assets.
• Producing and maintaining commissioning documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Helping to resolve technical issues and optimise performance.
• Participating in site acceptance testing and early engagement with equipment suppliers.
• Feeding into continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned processes.

Job description

We're looking for a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join the AW Engineering. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of clean water and water recycling projects, helping ensure assets are tested, optimised, and ready for operation before handover. What You'll Be Doing Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you'll play a key role in commissioning activities across a broad range of projects. With a focus on safety, quality, and performance, you'll help ensure that new assets function as intended and deliver long-term value for our customers and the environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  You're a hands-on engineer with a collaborative mindset and a passion for technical delivery. You're comfortable working in dynamic site environments and are eager to learn from experienced colleagues while contributing your own expertise., A HNC (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
• Some relevant experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water or utilities sector)
• A good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems
