Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join AW Engineering. You’ll lead on-site commissioning activities for clean water and water recycling assets, ensuring safe, compliant handover and reliable performance.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll plan and execute commissioning, inspect and test assets, produce method statements and risk assessments, and collaborate with design, delivery and operations to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications

• A HNC (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in commissioning, operations or maintenance (preferably in water/utilities).
• Good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of commissioning activities on site.
• Collaborate with design, delivery and operational teams to ensure project outcomes.
• Assist in site inspections, testing and performance verification of new assets.
• Produce and maintain commissioning documentation including method statements and risk assessments.
• Help resolve technical issues and optimise performance.
• Participate in site acceptance testing and engage with equipment suppliers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned processes.
