Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join AW Engineering. You will be on site supporting commissioning activities across water treatment and recycling projects, ensuring assets are tested, commissioned, and handed over ready for operation.

Qualifications

• HNC (or equivalent Level 4) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water or utilities sector).
• Understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of commissioning activities on site.
• Collaborate with design, delivery, and operational teams to ensure project outcomes.
• Assist in site inspections, testing, and performance verification of new assets.
• Produce and maintain commissioning documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Help resolve technical issues and optimise performance.
• Participate in site acceptance testing and early supplier engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll play a key role in commissioning activities across a broad range of projects. With a focus on safety, quality, and performance, you’ll help ensure that new assets function as intended and deliver long-term value for our customers and the environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the planning and execution of commissioning activities on site

About You

You’re a hands-on engineer with a collaborative mindset and a passion for technical delivery. You’re comfortable working in dynamic site environments and are eager to learn from experienced colleagues while contributing your own expertise.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• A HNC (or equivalent Level 4 qualification) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
• Some relevant experience in commissioning, operations, or maintenance (preferably within the water or utilities sector)
• A good understanding of process control, instrumentation, or M&E systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to sites
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and adapt
