Compass Group UK&I in the United Kingdom is recruiting a dedicated Hospitality Assistant to support the smooth running of our Chartwells operations. You will deliver high-quality hospitality services in meeting rooms and client areas, set up spaces for events, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

This role offers a permanent, full-time contract, 40 hours per week, with a focus on service excellence, teamwork, and adherence to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or customer service (contract catering experience desirable).
• Friendly, professional, and client-focused with a strong service mindset.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality hospitality service to designated meeting rooms, boardrooms, and client areas.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events, including food, beverages, tableware, and equipment in line with service standards.
• Provide timely delivery and replenishment of food and drinks during meetings and events.
• Ensure presentation standards are consistently met, with attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Clear and clean meeting rooms promptly after use, ensuring spaces are reset and ready for future bookings.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction at all times.
• Engage professionally with clients, responding to requests and resolving issues efficiently.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
• Support with stock control, replenishment, and reporting of shortages or issues.
• Work collaboratively with catering, kitchen, and on-site teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Adhere to service schedules and respond flexibly to changing client requirements.
