Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group plc in Birmingham is seeking a proactive Meeting & Events Porter to deliver outstanding guest service across Meetings & Events and Food & Beverage areas. You will work closely with colleagues to meet standards, adapt to flexible hours, and actively promote hotel offerings.

Developing knowledge of SOPs and room setups will be part of your growth with us. We offer training through the Dalata Academy, opportunities for internal progression, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality environments is essential.
• Customer service skills with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Able to work as part of a team and adapt to a fast-paced setting.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in Meetings & Events and F&B areas.
• Collaborate with team and adapt to varying working hours.
• Actively promote sales within the department and hotel.
• Maintain safe working practices in M&E areas and address hazards.
• Learn department SOPs, especially room setups.

Your Job:

• Provide exceptional guest service in all Meetings & Events and Food & Beverage areas, ensuring that the agreed-upon standards are consistently met.
• Collaborate effectively as part of the team, being mindful of colleagues' needs and demonstrating flexibility with working hours.
• Actively promote sales within the department and throughout the hotel.
• Maintain safe working practices in the Meetings & Events areas, promptly addressing any spillages or safety hazards.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the department's standard operating procedures, especially regarding room setups.
