Job summary

SRG is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of software and firmware engineers across MedTech and connected device projects. Qualifications

• Industrial experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
• Experience managing or leading software development teams.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, systems design and lifecycle management.
• Experience developing embedded software and firmware in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with embedded C/C++, RTOS and hardware/software integration.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to coach, develop and inspire technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of software and firmware engineers.
• Manage resource allocation, workload planning and performance development for up to 8 direct reports.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and support.
• Provide technical leadership across software, embedded systems and connected technologies projects.
• Ensure software activities comply with IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive engineering best practices including code review, version control, CI/CD, automated testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with Electronics, Product Design, Quality Assurance and Production teams.
• Support customer engagement, proposal development and future business opportunities.
• Champion innovation, continuous improvement and adoption of modern methodologies and tooling.
