Job summary

BD is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support infusion product manufacturing and sustaining engineering initiatives at our Winnersh site. You will drive improvements, manage changes, and lead projects with a focus on safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree (or related) and 3+ years post-release experience in manufacturing environments, with plastics, assembly and test systems experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting electro-mechanical products post-release.
  • Experience with plastic injection moulding, manual assembly and test systems.
  • Familiar with validation and verification for engineering changes (GxP/quality).

Responsibilities

  • Support manufacture of products and parts aligning with safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
  • Translate and implement product and process improvements into manufacturing solutions.
  • Lead sustaining engineering projects from initiation to completion with regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and maintain manufacturing lines, including transfers and new line setups.
  • Manage engineering change documentation per quality requirements.
  • Deliver projects within agreed timelines and targets.
  • Collaborate across functions to solve problems and improve processes.
