Job summary

Innovo Global Talent is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a pioneering medtech company in Warrington. You will design and refine injection moulded plastics and polymer components, integrating robotics and mechatronics to produce scalable, high‑performance medical devices.

You will own end‑to‑end design projects from concept to production, run prototyping and validation, select materials, and collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs meet regulatory standards.

• Proven experience in product or mechanical design, with a focus on plastics, polymers, and moulded components, particularly injection moulding processes.
• Hands‑on experience designing, prototyping, testing, and iterating mechanical solutions within a regulated industry such as medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of materials properties, tolerancing, and processing parameters for plastics and polymer components.
• Ability to translate concepts through CAD modelling and detail drawings, with practical experience in physical prototyping and validation.
• Experience in design‑for‑manufacture, collaborating with tooling and production partners to scale prototypes into repeatable products.
• Familiarity with robotics, automation, or mechatronics applied within medical devices or healthcare equipment is advantageous.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to independently own projects from inception to delivery, balancing creativity with regulatory considerations.
