Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Medicines Value and Homecare Pharmacist to combine clinical pharmacy skills with value-based use of medicines and patient access to novel therapies.

The post will be supported by UHNM medicines optimisation and procurement teams, offering exposure across clinical, aseptic, clinical trials, cancer and digital medicine services, with ward-based commitments to be agreed on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the delivery of medicines value and cost improvement agendas within the organisation.
• Governance and assurances relating to high-cost medicines within UHNM.
• Developing key relationships with relevant commissioners, including NHS England and Integrated Care Board representatives.
• High quality and safe medicines homecare services - ensuring adequate processes, capacity planning and governance.
• Supporting the governance processes relating to the provision of immunoglobulin, including attendance at the North Midlands Sub-Regional Immunoglobulin Panel.
