Job summary

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester seeks a Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist to lead the Homecare and Medicines Value portfolio. You will drive cost-effective prescribing, oversee Homecare services, and work with internal teams and external partners to optimise the patient pathway.

As deputy to the Principal Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist, you will develop strategies, monitor performance, and contribute to education and training within the Christie@Home and Outreach services,

Qualifications

• Independent prescriber status enabling clinical prescribing decisions.
• Experience leading pharmacy teams and strategic initiatives.
• Strong communication with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Homecare medicines optimisation service and develop strategies.
• Lead and develop the Homecare team in collaboration with the Lead Procurement.
• Develop, monitor and report homecare performance indicators.
• Collaborate with procurement, external providers and NHS partners.
• Contribute to governance and training within Homecare services.
