Job summary

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Medicines Management Technician to join our Pharmacy team. The role focuses on medicines management for outpatient and inpatient services, collaborating with clinical pharmacists and other teams as we open the hospital in London.

Salary up to £42,000, 37.5 hours weekly, 07:00–18:00, Monday–Saturday (1 Saturday every 4 weeks). Reporting to the Lead Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, you will help implement medicines management strategies and provide

Qualifications

• GCSE English, Maths, Science and 2 other GCSEs (Essential)
• NVQ3 Pharmaceutical Sciences plus BTEC or equivalent (Essential)
• GPhC registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (Essential)
• Medicines Management Technician qualification (or currently working towards) (Essential)
• Accredited Checking Technician qualification (Desirable)
• Educational supervisor qualification or working towards (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and obtain accurate medication histories as part of the pre-admission process.
• Identify newly admitted patients to obtain/confirm an accurate medication history or to highlight to the ward pharmacist any changes.
• Facilitate in a timely fashion the supply of non-stock medication for individual patients.
• Attend regular discharge planning meetings to gather information on potential discharges.
