Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Medicines Management team. This Band 4/5 progression post is designed for those with hospital or community pharmacy experience and includes comprehensive in‑house training and ACT development where appropriate.

Progression opportunities and flexible working patterns are available, with a focus on patient safety, accurate dispensing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve service

Qualifications

GPhC registration as Pharmacy Technician or eligible for registration this year.
Experience in hospital dispensing and medicines management desirable.
Willingness to progress to ACT accreditation.

Responsibilities

Safe and accurate dispensing and labelling of prescriptions.
Rotational experience across Inpatient and outpatient dispensing, including clinical trials.
Chemotherapy and specialist medicines handling.
Controlled Drugs management and ADCs usage.
Satellite services and emergency/hospice links.
Complete accurate medication histories and medicines reconciliation.
Support safe and appropriate use of medicines on the wards.
Counselling patients on new and existing treatments.
