Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Medical Secretary at Bushey Fields Hospital in Dudley to provide efficient secretarial support to a Consultant Psychiatrist and the team in General Adult Psychiatry and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment.

The role requires accurate audio typing, strong organisation, and experience with patient administration systems; full training on IT systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• AMSPAR Diploma or equivalent qualification or previous relevant experience in a Medical Secretary role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience with medical terminology and audio typing.
• Experience with patient information systems would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide secretarial support to a Consultant Psychiatrist and the team.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and follow up actions.
• Input referrals and make appointments as required.
• Maintain up-to-date patient medical records and book Outpatient/Community Clinics.
• Liaise with wards regarding inpatients and use computerised systems (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, RIO) and audio transcription (Bighand).
