Qualifications

  • Excellent IT skills and ability to type at speed with accuracy.
  • Audio typing experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with multi‑tasking and strict deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable.

Medical Secretary

Winfield Hospital Gloucester

Full-Time 37.5 Hours (Monday-Friday 8am-4pm)

The role

Your main task will be supporting our consultants with fast and precise typing and record creation which is so important to the smooth running of patient management. You will be expected to multi‑task across a range of secretarial duties; offer good judgment in escalating issues prioritising jobs highly accurate audio typing as these tasks all play an important part of your role. You’ll be valued for your skills and expertise and have the chance to build on them through our Ramsay Academy too.

Where you’ll be based

Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershire’s leading private hospitals located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It is situated off the Northern Ring Road with excellent road and rail links. The hospital opened in 1992 and currently has 39 beds including thirty‑four single rooms all with en‑suite facilities.
