Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in Barnet is seeking a Band 4 Medical Rostering Officer to support roster management for resident doctors and consultants across Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital.

You will coordinate weekly rosters, monitor gaps and locum spend, maintain records, support meetings and admin tasks, and ensure safe staffing levels in line with the 2016 TCS for Junior Doctors in Training. The role is based at Barnet Hospital with potential travel to other sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly rosters to ensure optimal coverage and safe staffing levels across Barnet Hospital and BCYP division.
• Log and track shifts, sickness absences, and locum usage in line with agreed policies.
• Provide administrative support including meetings, minutes, procurement, and data requests.
• Maintain roster audit trails and ensure timely roster updates and communications with clinical leads.
