Job summary

SpaMedica Taunton Hospital is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our Taunton cluster, working across multiple sites in the region. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week, 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

You will greet visitors, register patients, scan documents, arrange appointments and provide excellent customer care while upholding confidentiality. SpaMedica is the UK's largest NHS cataract surgery provider, celebrated for safety and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical reception is preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple sites.
• Excellent customer care and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and callers professionally.
• Register new patients and scan documents into the system.
• Send letters to patients and photocopy notes.
• Make patient appointments with confidentiality and care.

Role: Medical Receptionist

Location: Portland House, Deane Gate Avenue, Taunton, TA1 2UH

This role will be based within our Taunton Hospital cluster, which involves working across multiple sites across the region.

Hours: Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, working 4 days out of 6, from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Salary: £25,000

Responsibilities:

• We need somebody to ensure that all visitors and telephone callers to the practice are greeted professionally
• You will register new patients, scan documents onto our medical system, send letters to patients as necessary & photocopy notes and other information
• You will make appointments for our patient applying your understanding of patient confidentiality & attention to detail
• Managing reception responsibilities for each clinic
• Effective with all administration tasks
• Providing excellent customer care to all our patients
