NHS Burton-On-Trent is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant / Healthcare Science Assistant to support Biomedical Scientists in a busy lab. The role involves handling blood, urine, tissue and bodily fluids, data entry, and reception duties within a shift system that includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Your background should include strong numeracy and literacy, with good English, and the ability to multi-task and work flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Sample preparation - Identification checks & barcode labelling
• Data entry - Inputting patient data correctly onto the laboratory computer system
• Reception duties - Face to face and telephone queries from service users
• Housekeeping duties
• Clerical duties - photocopying, filing and scanning
