Join the Microbiology laboratory at Scunthorpe General Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. This role involves receiving and labeling samples while supporting Biomedical Scientists. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and organizational skills, with full training provided for those without experience.
We are seeking 3 enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals to join the Microbiology laboratory at Path Links, Scunthorpe General Hospital.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA), your duties will include receiving and labeling a range of samples. You will assist Biomedical Scientists to provide a high-quality service while adhering to the Trust values of compassion, honesty, respect, and teamwork.
The laboratory delivers a range of investigations, is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189:2012, and is an IBMS approved training laboratory.
Applicants must be available for a face-to-face interview, which will include a practical assessment. Following training, the post holder will participate in a 24/7 shift rota, including weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
