Job summary
BMS Performance Ltd. on behalf of a global medical gas systems manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover hospitals across Yorkshire, with Leeds as the base. The role starts with six months of structured training at HQ and on-site mentoring, then you’ll manage your own workload with ongoing support.
Ideal candidates have electromechanical engineering experience and a customer-focused approach, plus a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Qualifications
- Electromechanical engineering experience with healthcare equipment
- Background working on compressors, pumps, pneumatics or hydraulics
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
- Previous field service or on-site maintenance experience
- Positive attitude with willingness to learn a specialist industry
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair medical air compressors and vacuum systems
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections within hospitals
- Replace seals, regulators and components on medical gas manifolds
- Test medical gas outlets and terminal units within theatres and hospital wards
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs
- Complete service documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
- Build strong relationships with hospital engineering teams and customers
- Participate in the on-call rota and occasional weekend work
