Job summary

Yorkshire Housing is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our Gas Team in Doncaster, carrying out annual gas services, safety checks and boiler repairs across our homes with a focus on safety and customer service.

You will work mainly in the Doncaster area, with occasional support across Yorkshire. The role offers £42,000 per year (37.5 hours per week) plus call-out and overtime, plus generous benefits and leave.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience servicing and maintaining domestic heating systems.
• ACS Certificates CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CKR1 (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual gas services, safety checks, and boiler repairs across our homes.
• Work across Doncaster and Yorkshire to ensure safety and compliance.
• Follow all regulations and Yorkshire Housing policies to the highest standard.

We’re offering a salary of £42,000 per year (£21.53/hour) for a 37.5-hour week, with opportunities for call‑out and overtime to boost your earnings. You’ll enjoy 26 days of annual leave, rising to 31 with service, plus bank holidays. Our benefits package includes:

In this role, you’ll carry out annual gas services, safety checks, and boiler repairs and maintenance across our homes, following all the relevant regulations and Yorkshire Housing policies. You’ll be the friendly face our customers see, so great communication and a warm, professional approach are key. We aim to resolve issues on the first visit wherever possible, and you’ll work closely with our compliance team to make sure everything’s done safely and to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• At least two years’ experience servicing and maintaining domestic heating systems
• ACS Certificates: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CKR1 (or equivalent)
• Confidence working independently and solving problems
