Job Description
Working in the field, under the supervision of the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for installation, maintenance, servicing, support, and testing of the neuromate stereotactic robot and associated products. This individual will be required to provide in-person support during neurosurgical procedures. Regular UK and European, and occasional further international travel is required for this role. Full product training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Conduct regular scheduled preventative maintenance services across current install base, exercising applied metrology calibration practices, while completing detailed service reports.
Provide remote and in-person technical support for surgical teams using Renishaw products during neurosurgery procedures in the operating room.
Coordinate and conduct site evaluation visits at a highly professional level with prospective customers.
Install and update neuromate systems and software at customer sites.
Provide training to customers on the operation and care of Renishaw products.
Coordinate the investigation into issues and complaints raised by customers, completing onsite troubleshooting and corrective actions for the neuromate, neuroinspire and implantable systems
Communicate with current and prospective customers on a highly professional level to understand their needs and requirements, as well as provide customer support.
Provide complete and detailed service records for submittal to the Quality Management System.
Provide product feedback and input to R&D.
Provide technical support at marketing events.
Produce accurate and regular business expense reports and perform other required administrative duties.
Up to 80% travel is required for this role ·
Key Requirements
A degree or HND in a related technical discipline
Demonstrated understanding of electronic and mechanical principles
A background in delivering high level customer service
Good report writing skills.
Demonstrated problem solving skills
A valid UK Driving licence
A valid Passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK
Technical background in a Mechanical or Electronics related discipline
Experience working in a clinical environment or operating room
Experience working in a highly regulated environment
Suitable immunisation history to qualify being in a clinical environment
