Job summary

Field Solutions Group is seeking a Medical Field Service Engineer to service hospital treatment and recovery equipment. The role covers the North West UK region with occasional travel to neighbouring areas when required.

You will perform onsite and remote troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration and repairs on medical equipment, and complete preventative maintenance or upgrades within set timeframes. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years’ work experience in the medical device or life sciences industries preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Ability to travel on short notice and stay overnight.

Responsibilities

• Onsite and remote troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration and repairs on medical equipment.

• Troubleshooting at application level as well as mechanical/electrical levels.

Medical Field Service Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Engineer for a global leading service provider of hospital treatment and recovery equipment. This role will be covering the North West UK region with some travel to neighbouring areas when required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Onsite and remote troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, calibration and repairs on medical equipment
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications or upgrades in certain time frames.
• Troubleshooting not only on a mechanical/electrical level but understand and troubleshoot on an application level.
• Working as a member of a larger team but independently managing their territory to provide efficient service support to all customers within an assigned area.

Essential Experience

• Three years’ work experience in the medical device or life sciences industries is preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.

Desirable Experience

• Qualifications in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/ Engineering Technology
