Job summary

Home Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a small, specialist medical technology company. You will cover installation, servicing, PPM, calibration and repair of advanced medical systems across the UK, working directly with clinical customers to keep equipment safe and operational.

You will manage your own field schedule, diagnose faults and carry out upgrades, with training provided and a clear path for professional growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ field service experience.
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Good PC, networking and troubleshooting capability.
  • HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent practical engineering experience.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and planning your own field service schedule.
  • Carrying out PPM, servicing, calibration and repairs.
  • Diagnosing electro-mechanical, software and connectivity-related faults.
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment.
  • Supporting equipment upgrades and system configuration.
  • Troubleshooting PC and network connectivity issues.
  • Maintaining accurate electronic service documentation.
  • Providing responsive technical support to NHS and private healthcare customers.

Field Service Engineer – Medical Systems

We are recruiting an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a small, specialist medical technology company with a passionate team and a strong reputation in respiratory diagnostics across the NHS and private healthcare sector.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role covering the installation, servicing, PPM, calibration and repair of specialist medical systems across the UK.

You will manage your own field schedule, diagnose faults, carry out repairs and upgrades, and work directly with clinical customers to keep equipment safe, reliable and fully operational.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing and planning your own field service schedule
  • Carrying out PPM, servicing, calibration and repairs
  • Diagnosing electro-mechanical, software and connectivity-related faults
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment
  • Supporting equipment upgrades and system configuration
  • Troubleshooting PC and network connectivity issues
  • Maintaining accurate electronic service documentation
  • Providing responsive technical support to NHS and private healthcare customers
We are looking for:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ field service experience
