Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust in Wakefield is seeking an experienced Medical Equipment Engineer Supervisor to join the Medical Devices Management Team. This leadership role supports strategy development and ensures a safe, high-quality medical equipment service across the Trust.

Working with the Medical Devices Manager, you will implement policies, oversee procurement, maintenance and lifecycle of devices, and provide technical advice to committees on medical devices while promoting

Qualifications

• Degree, HND/C or equivalent in Electronics or Biomedical/Clinical Engineering.
• Regular participation in formal and informal technical training.
• Experience diagnosing and rectifying faults on clinical equipment.
• Experience providing frontline customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and day-to-day manage the Equipment Engineering section.
• Support the Medical Devices Manager in operational and strategic management.
• Ensure policies, SOPs and procedures are implemented and maintained.
• Provide specialist advice to committees on medical devices.
• Lead incident reporting and liaise on MHRA safety alerts.
• Oversee lifecycle management of medical devices across the Trust.
• Ensure compliance with MHRA guidance and standards.
• Promote continuous service improvement.
