2gether Support Solutions Limited is seeking an EME Technician to join our Kent and Canterbury Hospital team. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm with on-call duties, supporting a range of diagnostic and patient-care equipment across East Kent.
You will apply engineering skills to ensure devices are safe, calibrated and ready for patient care, liaising with clinicians, suppliers and engineers.
2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.
We are looking for an EME Technician to join us at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital. This is a full time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm + on call.
As a Medical Engineering Technician (EME), you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting a wide range of medical devices, ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for patient care. You'll apply your technical expertise across hospital and community settings, supporting diagnostics, treatment, and point of care equipment. Ideally, you will be from a medical device engineering background. However, we are very welcoming to those coming from other backgrounds of engineering training including electro biomedical or digital repair technicians, as well as those perhaps coming from an ex services background that have sound training within aircraft, telecoms or ground engineering trades.
You will be part of a team maintaining medical equipment and supporting Medical Equipment Libraries (MELs) and Radiology Maintenance. The team is required to work to a high standard of safety and accountability, in line with: the departmental quality management system (QMS), the policy for the management of medical devices, MHRA guidance, Care Quality Commission regulations and 2gether employment policies.
You will liaise and work closely with healthcare professionals, manufacturers’ representatives, engineers, and technical staff to provide applications advice, device evaluation, acceptance testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of a diverse range of diagnostic, therapeutic and point of care testing equipment, ensuring it functions correctly, is within calibration limits, and safe for patient and staff use.
