Omnes Healthcare, which delivers NHS primary and secondary care, is recruiting a Medical Director to lead its ENT services. The post provides strategic clinical leadership across a growing ENT service, with responsibility for consultant ENT surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.

The role is part-time and largely remote, with travel to service sites as needed. Fit will turn on a consultant ENT surgical background and FRCS (ORL-HNS), which are listed as desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of ENT or surgical services.
• Experience in governance, audit and quality improvement.
• Regulatory compliance and clinical governance
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an NHS/primary care setting

What the job involves

• Provide strategic clinical leadership across the ENT service
• Ensure safe, effective and evidence-based ENT services, working with operational and clinical leaders
• Provide professional leadership to Consultant ENT Surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
• Oversee clinical governance and quality improvement
• Support the development and expansion of services across community and outpatient settings

Nice to have

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Otolaryngology (ENT)
• FRCS (ORL-HNS) or equivalent specialist qualification
• Substantive experience as a Consultant ENT Surgeon
• Demonstrable experience in clinical leadership and service development
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, audit and quality improvement
• Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
