This is a remote role.

Summary

The Medical Affairs Director will lead the development and execution of the EUR/INT Medical Affairs GEA strategy, supporting the Senior Medical Director in scientific strategy development. This role is critical to the organization's success and requires high cross-functional collaboration.

The incumbent will ensure activities comply with regulatory and legal frameworks including ABPI, EFPIA, GCP, and Jazz policies.

Essential Functions

• Review scientific literature to identify key drivers for Jazz's GEA portfolio and develop strategic plans.
• Ensure high scientific quality and coordination of EUR/INT KOL and educational activities.
• Develop expertise in GEA and related diseases to position as a field expert.
• Act as GEA subject matter expert, facilitating knowledge transfer to teams.
• Lead understanding of the competitive landscape and communicate insights.
• Create training and scientific materials collaboratively.
• Support review and approval of medical content in promotional materials.

Strategic and Tactical Planning

• Lead development and implementation of EUR/INT medical affairs GEA strategy aligned with growth drivers.

Data Generation and Publication Planning

• Lead GEA IEGP/publication plans ensuring data needs are met.
• Oversee publication of data and reviews per strategy and regulations.
• Develop and execute GEA study plans for post-marketing data.

External Relationships

• Support interactions with KOLs and advocacy efforts.
• Deliver scientific presentations on Jazz’s GEA portfolio.
• Represent Jazz at scientific congresses.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of solid tumour science and clinical aspects.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proven success in launching specialty medicines, preferably in solid tumours.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage matrix environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Proficiency in computer skills and regional medical affairs experience.

Education and Licenses

• Medical doctor or pharmacist, with experience in solid tumours preferred.
• PhD or higher science degree.
• Regional medical affairs experience is highly desirable.
• Understanding of healthcare systems and payor needs.
