Job summary

OrganOx Limited in Oxford seeks a Software Test Manager to lead testing across the software life cycle for their organ perfusion platforms. The role combines software testing expertise with strong leadership of cross-functional teams, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires end-to-end testing ownership, risk analysis, and collaboration with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, partners and customers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software test teams for medical devices or safety-critical systems.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA guidance).
• Experience with embedded software, RTOS, and software testing strategies (unit/integration/hardware-in-the-loop).
• Ability to plan, coordinate cross-functional activities and manage risk and quality.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Software Test Engineers, setting goals and performance reviews.
• Plan timelines, budgets, and resources for testing programs.
• Provide technical leadership on testing strategy for Class II/III medical devices.
• Own CI/CD implementation and alignment with QMS requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement, tool selection, and process optimization.
