Job summary

LennTech Search is recruiting a Medical Device Engineer with a strong background in polymer chemistry to join a growth-focused medical device company. The role covers development, production and testing of innovative polymer-based devices.

You will conduct R&D to improve formulations, scale up processes from lab to pilot, design testing protocols and manage regulatory documentation. A master’s degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with polymer science plus 4–5 years of industrial

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with polymer science.
• 4–5 years of industrial production/manufacturing and polymer science experience.
• Expertise in polymer characterisation, processing and synthesis.
• Experience with hydrogels.
• Background in an R&D lab or materials development environment.
• Strong experimental design and data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D activities to improve polymer-based device formulations.
• Design, optimise and develop production processes for polymer materials.
• Scale up polymer processes from laboratory to pilot production.
• Design, optimise and validate testing protocols.
• Maintain and qualify laboratory equipment.
• Keep thorough records and ensure QA/RA documentation compliance.
• Contribute to H&S implementation and improvements.
• Produce weekly progress reports and manage design history/technical files.
• Support regulatory submissions.
