Job summary

Key Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a chemistry-focused professional to drive product development in a polymer portfolio within a UK manufacturing setting.

You will work in an R&D laboratory, ensure quality and safety compliance, and maintain robust records across testing and research activities. You will also support production transfers, collaborate with the Quality Manager on QC matters, and contribute to root-cause investigations of complaints, while updating ERP data for BOMs and release

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment involving 2 component polymer chemistry.
• Experience in a commercial laboratory with a range of testing techniques.
• Interest in product development and project management.
• Accurate, thorough and methodical research approach.
• Organised self-starter with problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated product development tasks and projects to timetable and budgets.
• Ensure R&D laboratory functions meet quality, H&S and hygiene standards and equipment is maintained.
• Keep accurate records of testing and research activities.
• Support transfer of new/modified products from lab to production and resolve issues.
• Liaise with Quality Manager on QC matters and investigate complaints.
• Maintain PMC/PMF/PMI/BPF/BPI data on ERP (BOM, release criteria, attachments).
• Provide data for monthly Technical Manager report.
• Represent the company with customers/suppliers and support cross-departmental product portfolio activities.
