Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for Bannockburn, IL. This full-time role involves front desk duties, patient check-in/check-out, registration, and coordinating appointments with occasional travel to other locations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (medical assisting preferred), CPR certification, and roughly one year of medical office experience. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; medical assisting program preferred.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (MA/CMA) preferred, but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registrations
• Provide front office support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight)
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
