Job summary

Endeavor Health in Bannockburn, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will greet patients, document vitals, and support front office operations in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR-BLS certification, and 1 year of relevant experience; MA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR-BLS certification through American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Phlebotomy and injections vary by specialty.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Bannockburn, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What You Will Do

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height and weight
• Provide front office support as needed
• Phlebotomy and giving injections varies based on the specialty

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR-BLS certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT, AAMA, ARMA, CCMA, CMA, MAC, AMCA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
