Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for our South Elgin clinic. This role supports physicians, conducts basic lab work, and assists with patient intake, ensuring smooth visits for diverse clinical specialties.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program or related coursework, CPR, and active MA certification, with willingness to complete phlebotomy within 90 days. Travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant educational program or higher health sciences coursework required.
• Active medical assistant certification (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA) required for relevant specialties.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vitals, and health history collection.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Assist with immunizations or injections if certified.
• Process prescriptions, respond to pharmacy callbacks, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite labs (EKG, PFT, blood glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, warm examination rooms and provide excellent patient service.
