Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment Ltd. are recruiting a passionate Media Teacher for a mixed 11-16 academy in Havering, London. This permanent, full-time role starts in September and offers a supportive environment within a large multi-academy trust.

You will plan and deliver high-quality Media lessons, teach across key stages, and contribute to curriculum development. The school values enquiry, creativity and strong student progress. Applications welcome from QTS holders and ECTs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A relevant degree or strong academic background in Media, Media Studies or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Media within a secondary school environment is desirable.
• ECTs with appropriate subject knowledge and training are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Media lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach Media across the relevant Key Stages, including examination classes where required.
• Create engaging lessons that encourage students to analyse, interpret and produce different forms of media.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Prepare students effectively for internal and external assessments.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and academic progress.
• Contribute to the development of the Media curriculum and resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school.
• Take an active role in the wider life of this Client.
