Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a passionate Media Teacher to join a mixed secondary academy for pupils aged 11-16 in Havering. This permanent, full-time role starts from September and offers the opportunity to teach engaging Media lessons and contribute to curriculum development within a supportive school.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS (or equivalent), have a degree in Media or related subject, and demonstrate strong subject knowledge and classroom management to inspire students

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Media, Media Studies or closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Media in a secondary school environment is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the Media curriculum and exam specifications.
• ECTCs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Media lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach Media across Key Stages, including examination classes where required.
• Create engaging lessons that encourage analysis, interpretation and production of media.
