Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a passionate Media Teacher to join a mixed 11-16 secondary academy in Havering, London. This full-time, permanent post starts September and offers a supportive teaching environment within a large multi-academy trust.

You will plan and deliver engaging Media lessons, assess students, contribute to curriculum development and work with colleagues across the department. QTS or equivalent is required, with strong subject knowledge and a commitment to helping every

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Media, Media Studies or closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Media in a secondary school is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the Media curriculum and exam specifications.
• ECTs with subject knowledge and training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Media lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach Media across relevant Key Stages, including exam classes where required.
• Create engaging lessons that encourage students to analyse, interpret and produce different forms of media.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Prepare students effectively for internal and external assessments.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and academic progress.
• Contribute to the development of the Media curriculum and resources.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school.
• Take an active role in the wider life of the school.
