Job summary

CMS Law in London seeks a highly capable Associate for its prestigious Media, Sports & Entertainment team within Technology, Media, IP and Competition practice. You will handle media rights sales mandates, serving as a dedicated client contact while supporting senior lawyers across related matters.

The role offers exposure to high-profile clients, international collaboration, and a pathway to develop industry expertise.

Qualifications

2-4 years PQE
Intellectually rigorous with genuine interest in media/sports sectors
Commitment to high-quality work and client service
Numerate with strong drafting and commercial awareness
Clear communicator with ability to build relationships
Enthusiasm for using AI tools to enhance work

Responsibilities

Act as primary day-to-day junior associate on media rights matters for a leading sporting competition
Advise on package formulation, tendering, auction processes, contracting, and financial/security matters
Handle a broad range of media rights, IP and sports-related matters for clients
Develop existing and new client relationships and build your profile in the sports/media sectors
Adopt a sophisticated approach to AI in project lifecycles and workflows
