Job summary

University of Manchester seeks a creative Media Production Technician to join the Media Production team on a part-time basis in Manchester. You will contribute to high-quality audio and visual media for teaching, learning, research and University events.

You will capture content, edit, and support live events, with opportunities to train others and stay updated on new tools and technologies. A collaborative, professional environment and pension scheme are provided.

Qualifications

• You should have an HND equivalent qualification in media production, or demonstrable professional skills and industry experience.
• Experience in live event production and on-location shoots is advantageous.
• Strong communication and IT literacy are essential.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality audio and video in studios, facilities, and external locations.
• Edit and post-produce media content including colour grading and audio mastering.
• Support live events with camera operation, vision mixing and streaming.
• Produce graphics and animations for teaching and promotional materials.
• Support staff and students using editing and production facilities.
• Develop and deliver training workshops and supporting materials.
• Maintain awareness of emerging media production tools and workflows.
• Work safely and provide a customer-focused service.
