Job summary

Brockenhurst College is seeking a dedicated Media Technician on a full-time, term-time-only basis. The role involves providing technical, practical and administrative support for Media, Film and T Level programs, ensuring facilities and equipment are kept to a professional standard.

You will guide and assist students with safe practices in photography, video production and live events, while supporting staff in lesson preparation and project delivery. A competitive salary is offered.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Experience with AV equipment and studio facilities.
• Familiar with filming and editing.
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop.
• Strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and de-rig media equipment for lessons and events.
• Maintain studios, green screen facilities and editing suites.
• Organise and maintain storage for cameras, lighting and audio gear.
• Manage bookings for studios and equipment loans.
• Support productions and open events with technical setup.
• Keep inventory and asset registers up to date.
• Ensure equipment is returned and tracked after use.
• Assist with risk assessments and health & safety checks.
