Job summary

Host Broadcast Services (HBS) in London is seeking a Media Manager to lead the non-live production media workflows, asset delivery, and content operations for Project B. The role requires strong operational judgement, technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate across broadcast and digital platforms.

You will work with producers, editors and coordinators to ensure content is ingested, organised, tracked, delivered and archived.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in media operations, content delivery, post-production workflows or broadcast/digital media management
  • Strong understanding of file-based workflows, ingest, transcoding, storage, delivery, QC and archive processes
  • Experience managing media workflows across broadcast and digital/social content environments
  • Strong knowledge of MAM systems, EVS and Frame.io is essential
  • Experience working on international sports events, live broadcast environments or multi-camera productions is a strong advantage
  • Confident in managing freelance teams, including Media Managers, Media Coordinators, Loggers or similar operational roles
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple streams of content, assets and deadlines
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to build practical workflow solutions under pressure
  • Motivated, committed and highly reliable under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and make confident operational decisions
  • Available for international travel

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end media workflow, including ingest, file management, storage, naming conventions, metadata, QC, exports, delivery and archive
  • Oversee the organisation and movement of media across broadcast, digital and social production workflows
  • Manage and support freelance Media Managers, Media Coordinators and Loggers, ensuring clear workflows, responsibilities and delivery standards
  • Work closely with producers, editors and production teams to ensure media is available, organised and delivered on time across multiple formats and platforms
  • Manage rights-holder and partner servicing, ensuring broadcasters, digital platforms, teams, sponsors and internal stakeholders receive the correct assets to the required specification
  • Maintain clear systems for media tracking, version control, delivery status and archive management
  • Support on-site media operations at international events, ensuring fast, reliable and efficient workflows between production, edit and delivery teams
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and provide practical, creative solutions to operational and technical challenges
  • Ensure all media operations are delivered in line with HBS's production, technical and delivery standards

Are you an organised, technically confident media operations professional with a passion for sport? At HBS, the Media Manager plays a central role in the Non-Live Production team responsible for managing the media workflows, asset delivery and content operations for Project B.

This position requires strong operational judgement, technical knowledge and the ability to manage complex media workflows across broadcast and digital platforms. The Media Manager will help ensure that content is ingested, organised, tracked, delivered, archived and made available efficiently across multiple teams and territories.

The Media Manager will work closely with (Senior) Producers, Junior Producers, Editors, Media Coordinators, Loggers and freelance Media Managers to support the delivery of high-impact content across multiple formats, from promos and short-form features to highlights, social clips and rights-holder deliverables, aligned with HBS's production standards.

Please note, this role requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the office in Central London and international travel (including long-term trips).
