A leading educational institution based in York is seeking a Media and Graphics Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to students. The role requires a Level 3 teaching qualification and experience with relevant software. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate learners. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary range of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Overview

Job Title: Media and Graphics Tutor

Location: York - Centre based

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Essential Criteria
  • Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 3 teaching qualification (PTLLS/AET or equivalent/above)
  • Must hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Media, Graphic Design or similar.
  • Must have experience of utilising industry-standard Media and Graphic Design software.
Duties
  • Deliver high-quality and engaging lessons in Media Production and Graphic Design, to learners working towards their NCFE Level 1 and 2 qualifications.
  • Embedding of Literacy and Employability skills in to lessons.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
Personal Skills
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
  • Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
