Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Washington (UK) is seeking a Manufacturing Services Team Member - Mechatronics to perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on production equipment, ensuring safety and availability. You will read machinery drawings, coordinate with production teams, contribute to continuous improvement, and support new joiners through induction and cross-training.

A hands-on role that blends mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with basic IT literacy.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship.
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation.
Basic IT literacy.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment to ensure safe, available and capable equipment.
Utilise precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance.
Read and interpret machinery drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues to enable maintenance and diagnostics.
Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures; research and implement improvements.
Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff and interface with Production Leaders.
