Job summary

Manchester City FC is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Manager to run the Grounds workshop at the City Football Academy, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance, servicing and repair of grounds equipment and vehicles. You will plan maintenance, prioritise tasks and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, coordinating repairs with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing grounds maintenance machinery, agricultural equipment or comparable specialist plant.
• Skilled in diagnosing and fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to plan and coordinate preventative maintenance activity while prioritising competing operational needs.
• Experience managing workshop stock, spare parts, maintenance records and related documentation.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices within a workshop environment.
• Relevant mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering or plant maintenance qualification, or equivalent practical experience, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and use maintenance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
