Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician (Fabrication / Fitting) in Rugby. The role involves fabricating and assembling chassis-mounted frames and components for specialist road tankers, reading technical drawings and operating cutting, drilling and grinding equipment.

The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with on-site parking and a strong benefits package. You will join a heavy engineering environment and contribute to production in a modern facility,

Qualifications

• Experience fitting and fabricating within a heavy engineering environment.
• Background in heavy engineering or a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble chassis-mounted frames and structural components for specialist road tankers.
• Fit mechanical components, brackets and associated equipment during vehicle production.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans and engineering specifications.
• Operate metalworking equipment, including cutting machinery, drills and grinders.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Are you a Mechanical Technician, with experience fitting and fabricating within a heavy engineering environment, looking for an opportunity that provides a great package with specialist training?

On offer is the chance to join an expert manufacturer of liquid waste vacuum tankers and jetting equipment. The company has recently undergone a merger, allowing them to invest in advanced technology and increase their manufacturing operations.

You will be working within the main production facility, responsible for fabricating, fitting and assembling chassis-mounted frames, components and associated equipment used in the manufacture of road tankers.

The process will include, interpreting engineering drawings, preparing materials and operating cutting machinery, drills and grinders.

The suitable candidate will have experience fitting and fabricating within a heavy engineering environment or similar.

The Role

• Fabricate and assemble chassis-mounted frames and structural components for specialist road tankers
