Job summary

Veolia in Portsmouth is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to deliver safe, compliant mechanical maintenance on site at Airbus Portsmouth. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, with a salary up to £45,000 plus Veolia benefits.

You will handle reactive and planned maintenance to meet SLAs, maintain tools and PPE, and comply with health, safety and environmental regulations. Training and on-site out-of-hours call duties are included.

Qualifications

• Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or mature route).
• Strong practical mechanical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Experience working independently in technical maintenance.
• Competent in safe systems of work and H&S standards.
• IT literate (CMMS).
• Able to self-manage workload and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Safe, compliant delivery of mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Effective execution of reactive and planned work to meet SLAs.
• Proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and industry regulations.
• Completion of required training and competency assessments.
