Job summary

Eko Talent in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join a growing team responsible for maintaining power generation facilities.

This role covers plant equipment in renewable energy environments, carrying out maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and helping improve system performance and reliability.

You will perform planned preventive maintenance, carry out reactive repairs, diagnose faults, and support outages and commissioning to ensure reliable operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all mechanical plant equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimise plant downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Overhaul, repair and replace mechanical components including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, conveyors and rotating equipment.
• Assist with major planned outages, shutdowns and annual maintenance activities.
• Conduct equipment inspections and condition monitoring to identify potential failures.
• Complete precision alignment, lubrication and mechanical fitting activities.
• Support commissioning, testing and reinstatement of plant following maintenance works.
