Luton Bennett is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Basingstoke. The role handles PDI’s, routine maintenance and repairs on a range of forklift trucks in a modern workshop. Hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with good earning potential and a pension arrangement.

Ideal candidates have experience with plant or forklift equipment, IT literacy, and ideally hold a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.

Qualifications

• Experience on plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cars or similar equipment.
• IT literate with ability to use workshop systems.
• Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PDI’s, service and repair work on workshop and service basis on a range of forklift trucks.
• Order spares when necessary.

Mechanical Technician role available in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks offering excellent training.
The Mechanical Technician role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. Automotive technicians/motor trade will also be very suited.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out PDI's, maintenance and breakdown on a range of forklifts. The workshop is very modern, clean and fully stocked.
