Technical Implementation Manager

Based out of either Runcorn Depot (WA7 3DJ), Birmingham Depot (B46 1DA), or Wakefield Depot (WF3 4BY)

Hours per week across Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work to offer flexibility required for specialist projects

Company Car, national travel required

Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automation, or related field required

We are looking for a skilled Technical Implementation Manager to lead the implementation of cutting-edge automation technologies across our UK pharmaceutical distribution centres. This national role involves overseeing the design and delivery of technical projects, driving operational efficiencies and innovation. Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of automation and technical projects within our pharmaceutical automated distribution centres.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot technical projects to ensure smooth and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure effective integration, maintenance, and optimization of automation systems to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the National Systems Team to support the successful deployment of technology solutions across UK distribution centres.
  • Provide ongoing support for automation projects, maintaining a high level of technical performance across operations.

Key Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

  • Proven track record in delivering automation and technical projects, ideally within the pharmaceutical or logistics industry.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and supporting multi-site operations.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies (e.g., automated storage/retrieval systems, conveyor systems, robotics) and integration with IT systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Automation, or related field.
