Job summary

IN2 Engineering Design Partnership is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to shape building services from concept to handover. You’ll design mechanical systems, work with clients and multidisciplinary teams and drive performance-focused solutions across projects.

The role emphasizes delivering robust calculations, specifications, and reports while coordinating with engineers, architects, and clients to achieve high standards of energy-efficient design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering required.
• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong HVAC and building services design experience needed.
• Experience with IES/Hevacomp or similar; Revit beneficial.
• Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and timelines.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical building services systems across multiple sectors.
• Deliver projects from concept through to construction and handover.
• Produce calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, and design teams.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to engineering decisions.
• Support site inspections, commissioning, and final delivery.
• Drive energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.
